The  Library is located in the old Mitchel Field Fire Building.
 


The Cradle of Aviation Library consists of over 4000 books, 20,000 periodicals and 50,000 photographs. The Library is focused around the aerospace heritage of Long Island.
Serious researchers are welcome to use the library by appointment. If your research relates to a Long Island aircraft manufacturer, airport, event or personality, you're most likely to find the answer here.
